A Journey into the Metaverse

In collaboration with ReGeneration, we launched a cutting-edge Metaverse Masterclass as part of Project Future, an initiative by Piraeus Bank to empower young professionals. The event was hosted within the educational pillar of DIGITAL MARKETING & E-COMMERCE YOUNG PRACTITIONERS. It allowed participants to experience the Metaverse firsthand while expanding their knowledge of this new digital frontier.

To bring this vision to life, we developed an immersive 3D experience within a virtual world. After thoroughly researching available platforms, we selected spatial.io for its mobile accessibility and intuitive user interface, enabling participants to quickly adapt and actively engage with the Metaverse during the event. Participants could create personalized avatars through ReadyPlayer.me and explore various virtual spaces, such as an auditorium, networking lobby, and galleries featuring NFT content from previous IRL Project Future events. The event was accessible across devices, allowing attendees to join via computers, mobile phones, or VR headsets, ensuring broad participation.

This hands-on interaction not only familiarized participants with the Metaverse but also deepened their understanding of Web 3.0 by providing a practical, interactive experience.

Dimitris Dimitriadis, Futurist at TheFutureCats Innovation Consultancy, delivered a keynote presentation through his avatar, demonstrating the potential of the Metaverse in real time. Throughout the event, participants engaged in discussions, shared their experiences, and deepened their understanding of the Metaverse. Following the event, they were provided with a curated list of resources and articles to continue exploring the Metaverse and its possibilities.
