01 . The Challenge

TheFutureCats collaborated with the nonprofit organization New Agriculture New Generation, which supports youth employment and entrepreneurship in the agri-food sector in Greece. The Covid-19 pandemic highlighted the urgent need for digital presence among young agri-food entrepreneurs, many of whom lacked familiarity with social media platforms and digital branding. With in-person events canceled, there was a critical demand for online tools and strategies to build digital communication skills and enhance market reach. The main challenge was to educate and empower participants to maximize their digital presence effectively across social media and related platforms.

02 . The Solution

02 . The Solution

To address this, TheFutureCats designed and implemented the first “Social Media Toolkit” tailored specifically for agri-food businesses. This comprehensive guide provides practical, step-by-step instructions on optimizing major social platforms—Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube—and website builders like WordPress and Wix. It covers essential topics including content calendars, hashtag use, audience targeting, digital advertising models, and crisis management, all framed within a coherent digital strategy.

Complementing the toolkit, TheFutureCats organized an online workshop to further educate participants on adapting digital communication during the pandemic and beyond. The workshop addressed key issues such as effective digital communication under lockdowns, budgeting for online sales, evolving consumer profiles, and the broader digital environment within the agri-food sector.

The content for the toolkit was created by specialists focusing on clarity and visual guidance through detailed instructions and screenshots, ensuring ease of use. The e-book was distributed organically via the program’s website and social media channels, supported by targeted social media ads to maximize reach. The workshop was delivered via Zoom and promoted extensively across all digital assets of the organization.

This project was honored with the Gold Award for Branded Content at the Indie Awards 2021, recognizing its outstanding contribution to empowering agri-food entrepreneurs through innovative digital education.
