Agora Modiano, an iconic landmark with over 100 years of history, aimed to transition into the digital era with a powerful presence on TikTok. TheFutureCats Innovation Consultancy was tasked with transforming this historical food market into a dynamic and contemporary digital brand while preserving its cultural identity and authenticity.

The challenge was twofold: to craft content that aligns with TikTok’s fast-paced, trend-driven environment and appeals to the 18–50 demographic and to position Agora Modiano as a vibrant, multicultural culinary destination that harmoniously blends heritage with modern food culture.

To bring Agora Modiano’s story to life on TikTok, TheFutureCats executed a well-rounded strategic plan focused on personalization, trend adaptation, and creative storytelling. We segmented the audience into three core groups—young food lovers, tradition-seeking gourmets, and visitors searching for authentic experiences—and tailored content to resonate with each. We localized global formats by integrating popular TikTok trends to reflect the market’s unique character. Our content strategy combined storytelling about the market’s heritage, product origins, and vendor profiles with timely updates on events and new openings. We introduced original, interactive formats designed to spark engagement and build community. Collaborations with well-known local creators brought authenticity and reach. The content spanned a mix of infotainment, edutainment, real-time updates, and influencer storytelling, delivering a digital experience as rich and diverse as Agora Modiano.

Within 12 months, the account @agoramodiano reached 10K organic followers, with 134K total reactions and 4.35M video views. The audience was 65% local to Thessaloniki. The project successfully transformed Agora Modiano’s digital presence, making it a standout cultural and gastronomic brand on TikTok.

This success was further recognized with a Gold Award at the Indie Awards 2025 in Best Use of Digital by a Regional Agency category.
